Goals for the Anxious Farm Mom

I have been thinking a lot over the past week of where I want the “Anxious Farm Mom” to go and I have decided to put those goals out there and see what happens.
My first goal is to tell my story through my writing. I want my story told to reach and help as many people as possible. I appreciate every share that I have received and all of the kind comments. I want to make mental health struggles as commonly talked about as physical struggles. A lot of people aren’t as open as I am and that scares me so much. If I wasn’t open I wouldn’t be here. I do not want to hear of another person struggling in silence because they did not want to speak up.
My second goal is to tell my story in person. Don’t get me wrong, my social anxiety will be a barrier for this, but I have always thought about doing this (so internet do your thing lol). I want to connect to people and be brave enough to get up and speak to a room full of people to show that I am not just a keyboard warrior, but someone who is brave enough to talk about struggles in real life. My hope is that my bravery of talking in front of people will inspire people to have the bravery to ask for the help they need or the bravery to share their own stories.
My third goal is to give people an outlet to tell their story. I have heard from so many people in my community that they want to share their story, but they don’t have an outlet that they feel comfortable sharing with. I have decided to open up my blog to have guest writers so you can tell your story. All you’ll have to do is go to the “contact me” and send me an email (just let me know if you would like to be published as the author, or you can keep your name a anonymous).
Thanks for everyone who has been here so far, and welcome to the newbies!
Be kind and eat beef,
Shayla

I think a place to speak might be to the social services worker class at ACC. Grace is taking this course and I know one of the teachers.
They just finished there ASSIT certification and I think this is a great learning opportunity for them.
